Question about Polaris ATV
The quad will still go but only when its in 4x4 and only the front tires turn the back tires don't move and when the quad is in 2 wheel drive it dosnt go at all its like its still in nutral if you know what it could be please let me know it would be greatly appreciated thanks contact me at [email protected] thanks for your time

It sounds like it could possibly be the ring gear in the rear differential. (Where the drive shaft enters the diff.) If the ring gear gets stripped the drive shaft will turn but it's not transferring that power to the rear axle. Lift the rear end off the ground and spin the rear wheel by hand. Listen for a clicking sound at the rear differential. If it is clicking then I would bet the ring gear is stripped.

an ohm test on the hub coil wires will identify whether or not it is a bad magnet. test between the brown and grey wires and thisd should be aruond 27 ohms. then test brown to ground this should be open. you can also test 12volt power to the coil between thos two wires

Drain plug is on the bottom of the crankcase. No need to pull skid plate. Combo fill hole and dipstick is on the lower left hand side of the engine
Don't forget to do the filter at hte same time.
