wowserz, this is a very common problem for cofee drinkers, including me. if im right its the plastic part that is in between the mug and the filter. this is replacable, but if is broken off from the original place. no need for gevalia coffee maker people just get it for the free coffee.
SOURCE: battery door cover
Hi,
As a first call I would try visiting the smaller specialist camera shops that do repairs.
The manufacturers are starting to hide behind blanket 1 year warranties that only cover manufacturing defects. Basically if it works when you first use it - they won't help on anything else as it comes under "improper use" or "physical damage"
They are producing them cheaper than they can repair them, so, if you do return a genuine claim within a year - they send you a new one, and bin the old one.
They also charge high prices for repairs.
My personal advice is to watch Ebay for an identical model sold for spares. Just do a search, save it and they will email any matches to you.
Then just swap defective parts.
This is the cheapest option.
SOURCE: VGB3 leg lock broke
On the velbon vgb 3, the leg locks consist of a lever, one or two pieces of metal and a plastic piece. The metal and plastic pieces rest in a depression against the lever. When the lever is pulled out, pressure against the smaller leg section is released. When the lever is pushed in, pressure against the smaller leg section is exerted, locking the legs in place. On the back side of each joint, there is a phillips head screw which acts as a stop to keep the leg section from coming all the way out. When the screw is backed out, the leg section can be removed, exposing the latching mechanism. If the only problem is that the latch mechanism came apart, it can simply be reassembled. If, however, something broke and allowed the latch assemby to come apart, that will have to be dealt with as well. My guess is that the phillips screw may have become loose, and the latch came apart.
SOURCE: 2001 ford escape-passenger door handle
I just ordered the part for the inside of the door from a local ford dealer. It was in Michigan and arrived in three days to Missouri so shipping is fairly fast. The part is around $35.00. The part number is 6L8Z-78223N03-AA. Its the inside door reinforcement bracket and it comes with a new bushing for the actuator rod. I hope this helps.
