I have an 05 Suzuki Vinson 500 quadrunner 4X4 that has 265 miles that has a hard time starting and it will not stay running when I throttle up. It has a published stick substance inside and on the aircleaner. I did lay it on the side playing around one time but it ran after that . Any help would be great.
The sticky stuff is normal. On a lot of dirt bikes and 4 wheelers they have air filters that you are to wash either with a filter cleaner or gas and then you spray them down with a light oil and then wring them out until they have no extra oil in them and the oil helps filter the dirt out of the air heading into the engine. It does look in your picture like it is needing a cleaning.

I expect you have blocked jets in the carb.
Strip down the carb and clean the jets then reassemble and tune.
Hope that helps.

Mine did the same thing. I took the air filter off and there was about a half inch of gas sitting in the bottom, so I just soked that up started the wheeler and covered the air hole w my hand and hit the gas. After that it started working. It died when I did that and then it started right up.
