Hello, I have a problem
Somewhere on the computer is the access code to re-install and activate XP from Microsoft, if it was still available. But it's not. Do you really want to buy XP again? Or pay for newer software on an 11 y/o PC? Recommend you put that money into upgrade. New or used.
Internet Explorer is not working. What I can do
To reset Internet Explorer settings
-
Close any Internet Explorer or Windows Explorer windows that are currently
open.
-
Click to open Internet Explorer.
-
Click the Tools button, and then click Internet Options.
-
Click the Advanced tab, and then click Reset.
-
Select the Delete personal settings check
box if you would like to remove browsing history, search providers,
Accelerators, home pages, and InPrivate Filtering data.
-
In the Reset Internet Explorer Settings
dialog box, click Reset.
-
When Internet Explorer finishes restoring the settings, click
Close, and then click OK.
-
Close Internet Explorer.
Your changes will take effect the next time you open Internet
Explorer.
Notes
-
If you close all visible windows, but still get an error message
when trying to reset, you might have programs running that are not visible.
Restart Windows, open Internet Explorer, and
try resetting again.
-
If any of the categories fail to reset, it is because Internet
Explorer could not access a file or registry setting. This can be caused by
insufficient security privileges, files or settings being used by another
program, or low memory or high CPU usage. You can either continue to use
Internet Explorer without restoring these settings, or restart your computer and
try to reset again.
-
If you are using Internet Explorer on a server and have turned off
Enhanced Security Configuration or hardening (stronger security settings for use
on servers), reset will go to client-level security. You must reinstall
hardening if you want the increased security level. For more information on
Enhanced Security Configuration, see Enhanced Security
Configuration for Internet Explorer online.

Several ways of doing this. As far a software goes install Glary utilities. your can have it installed for you for FREE by going to
www.ninite.com
then checking Glary and then clicking on Get Installer. Once it downloads the installer just click on it and it will install Glary Utilities on your computer. Not only does it clean, it defrags your hard and defrags your REGISTRY.
How to you back up files on cisnet computer if system is not operating
CMOS settings could be set at fault so go check bios settings by tapping f8 or del or F2 .choose either cd or hd 0 as first start up or reset to default then press f10 to save and restart.if it still causes problems it could be boot sector of hard drive or a loose cable .its down to some detective work.if it's not a hardware issue I.e. Corrupt bad sectored drive , faulty cables ...then it has to be software issues.
Sometimes if you leave memory card in a slot or you may have left a disc in one of your drives.this can sometimes be the cause
if none of the above then something is corrupting startup which means boot sector root kit problems

I own a C ISNET CI-3003X and it has a red light
It could be a defective or dirty video card. But in the some cases, where built-in graphics is used (no video card, built-in to motherboard) it is the memory (RAM) that is causing the problem.
Try removing your video card (if you have any) or memory from the board.
Video card removal instructions:

Memory removal instructions:

Clean the pins (gold contacts) with a rubber pencil eraser. Install the memory or the video card back to the board & power-on. If this doesn't work, replace the defective unit.
You may also try cleaning the internals of the computer using a non-static brush & a can of compressed air.
What kind of ram do i need
Yes, there is. You can find information about it here:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DDR_SDRAM
If you want real help, know your motherboard's brand & model so we could check what type of RAM it supports. If you can't find out, download and install speccy or aida64. It could give detailed report about the specs of your pc.
Hope this helps.
