Hotwire does not open
What kind of 'recovery' did you do ?If you did a 'factory recovery', then you will likely have to re-install the Hotwire software before it will recognize the device.
How can I convert .wav to .mp3 in xitel INport deluxe?
That's because there was no MP3 encoder included in the software that came with the Xitel Inport kit. They were using a third party codec (fastencc.exe) which was being hosted by someone on Geocities. That person took it down from the site, so now the software doesn't know where to go and locate it to install it on your computer. I'm having the same problem... so I'm currently looking for a fix.
Need a pass word to download cd

I plug in my Inport
Hello.
There may be a conflict with your sound card.
From Xitel:
1. Go to START -> CONTROL PANEL -> SOUNDS AND MULTIMEDIA
PROPERTIES -> AUDIO TAB
2. Make sure that in the Audio tab your soundcard appears as
the Preferred Playback device with USB Audio or
INport as the Preferred Recording Device. There
should also be a check next to the option 'use only preferred device'.
3. When you start LPRecorder you should also make sure that
Recording Device is set to USB Device or INport
and Playback Device is set as your soundcard and
that there is a check next to the option Simultaneous
Playback.
Hope this helps.
[email protected] can't find my software
There are 3 programs that were delivered with this unit: a ripper, a recorder and a processor.
They can be downloaded from their original sites:
ripper - http://www.cfbsoftware.com/lpripper/lpripper.aspx
recorder -
http://www.cfbsoftware.com/lprecorder/lprecorder.aspx
processor - http://www.wavecor.co.uk/wavedl.html
You will need the serials that are needed to activate them - they were printed on the sleeve of software disk and at the back of the user manual.
I have an Xitel Hi-Fi
The product details say that is a plug and play device, this means it shouldn't need a driver, how ever with it being used with windows 7, I don't know if that makes the difference. Shouldn't, but never no, I also had no luck finding drivers. I would uninstall the drivers associated with it and reboot your computer with this hooked up and see what happens.

Lost my xitel inport registration
To find the registration and code key numbers for software on your computer, go to www.download.com and download "Belarc Advisor" it is FREE. It will scan your system and bring up a report screen showing all your hardware and software, including software license numbers and code keys. It will also tell you which MS patches and fixes are installed or missing.
