I dropped my x-10 palm pad remote in water
I've dropped a lot of phones and other devices in water! No feeling quite like it :(Maybe people will advice against this, but I take the hose to my vacuum and (with the batter out) vacuum every inch of my devices. Another tip that has worked is to put the device into ziploc bag of white rice for a day or so. It'll absorb any water that is still locked inside. Hope it works for you!

We have had a X10
I am confused a bit here, so what is the end device you are trying to turn on with the powermid extender?
How is the powermid attached to the end device?
It sounds like the device itself may be having problems and not the original powermid X10 if you put a new one in it's place and it still doesn't function...
Thanks, let me know

Radio Shack 61-2470 manual
I haven't found a complete manual as such, but you can download each section (then print from browser) from the radio shack web site. I have provided the link below:

X10 mini controler will not turn off pool light
the unit is probably transmitting but the receiver on the lights is not getting an acceptable signal.
try placing your controller on a line closer to your main electrical panel.
Unfortunately x-10 technology is very unreliable its convenient but its also a pain in the ****.
Do the basics make sure the controller is close to your panel, make sure its not plugged into the same circuit that your appliances, computer or electronics are plugged into as they generate RF interference.
Smarthome.com sells several X-10 boosters, if your home has a 2 phase power get one that plugs into a 220v outlet that will "bridge" THE TWO PHASES.
