Pilot wont stay lit changed to new thermocouple

well if you have 6.2 psig at the valve that is your problem. most valves will only take an inlet pressure of 14" wc or about 1/2 psig. as pilot gas comes out of the valve with no regulation it would be blowing like a son of a gun. so if you have 6 .2" wc,water colum you are in good shape. have you tried to jumper the limit connections? a paper clip would work just fine. but if it does work no fair leaving it in place as a great danger may come your way. tell me what the pilot looks like blue and sharp or yellow and layz. there is a magnet in the valve that the thermocouple screws into but these dont often go bad.

I am almost totally confused. You started out saying you have a Charmglow Electric Fireplace. Then you said you want to change it from natural gas to propane.

Could you please be a little more specific in what you have? So I can help you. As Charmglow only makes Electric Fireplaces. No gas ones.

Thanks, I look forward to hearing from you.

Gas conversion lp kit 8927 has 2 pilot orifices...I only need 1, correct?

The smallest pilot orifice is used for LP. Make sure you read the instructions thoroughly. Usually the gas valve pressure regulator is disabled and the burner orifices are also changed. Good luck and hope this helps.

Make sure to purchase a thermostat that will operate on a millivolt system the old Honeywell t-87 would work but the new T-87 replacement ones do not work. make sure the wires are not touching each other at the connection points. Hope this helps.

Williams wall heater, lite pilot and heater comes on okay, but will only come off when I disconnect the thermostat?

If you have to disconnect the thermostat wire at the gas valve then it is either a shorted thermostat or a short in the thermostat wire.If you only have to disconnect the thermostat from the wire, then it sounds like a bad thermostat, replace the thermostat
