The rechargeable battery is probably near the charging/power jack. If it is bad, you would have to remove the entire back of the case to replace it. Most devices have a connector on the battery or battery cable, but some may have the cable soldered to the circuit board.

The biggest challenge may be finding a replacement. Hint: lithium battery part numbers are usually based on physical size in millimeters. For example, an 18 mm diameter cylindrical cell that is 65 mm long is an 18650 (the 0 means it's round and doesn't have a thickness). A rectangular ("prism") cell would have a non-zero thickness as the third section of the part number. There will be three or four cells in the battery if it's lithium, ten cells if it's nickel-cadmium or nickel-metal-hydride.

All rechargeable batteries are considered hazardous waste and must be disposed of in accordance with environmental regulations. We don't want to eat fish tainted with cadmium.

You will need a universal remote in order to change it to channel 3.
