How do I trouble shoot a 7512 slicer to free up a frozen slide arm?

There's a Carriage Arm Knob that has to be loosened that could be a possibility also your supposed to lubricate it weekly with mineral oil.

I have a M30 mixer

the retaining pin wears causing it to stick inside the shaft ,best thing i can think off is to leave it alone as it could run forever like this, trying to drill it is useless without a diamond drill bit as the pin is hardened steel ,possibly in excess of 60 rockwell C .As and when it shears then its easy to remove but hammering it will only welt the end making it jam in even harder .The motor could burn out before it wears away or a bearing go ,the only way to remove it is a press as this will not damage the end too much ,unless their is a secondary cotter pin locking this one in

My mixer just stopped when I was making dough?

I must assume that you confirmed power at the outlet by plugging in a hair dryer or some other type of appliance. If the outlet works the failure in your Kitchen Aid mixer could be a failed speed switch, motor or a loose wiring connection. In order to diagnose the failure will require dis-assembly and checking voltage, the wiring and switch operation using a volt/ohm meter.
