Have you tried them on different controllers? The jack on the controller might be messed up.

It's probably a bad mic issue. Try taking it back to where you got it from and see if they can help.

I am assuming this is not a sound issue, and an entire headset not coming on issue. Here are the steps that I would take... 1. Put in BRAND NEW BATTERIES!!! (Usually that is the culprit) ;-) 2. Unplug and then re-plug in all wires and cords to the console and the controller. 3. Check to see if the wires are connected from headset to end cords (on the one that plugs into the controller). 4. Once everything is connected and with brand new batteries, it should work, turn it on again. Remember the beep sound goes up when the turtle beaches come on, and the beep sound goes down when the turtle beaches are turned off.

This happened to me, and here is what I did... For some odd reason all of the lights and cords were plugged in correctly, except I could not hear the game chat. This happens when your headset is UNSYNCED. Take the headset back over to the xbox/ps3 and resync them. If that does not work, unplug every cable/wire to the headset (even from the xbox/ps3) reassemble it and sync it. It should work then. I have no idea why it will suddenly unsync, but fortunately it doesn't happen that often.
