P1 is a water tank error. Could be an alert that the internal bucket is full of water. Drain with a long tube and gravity.

If still a problem after you've emptied it, make sure that the reservoir is positioned correctly. Also, check the timer controls.

Then a vacuum has to be drawn for an hour or so to remove any air and moisture that has entered the system. Unless you posses all the tools, the silver soldering torches, vacuum pump, gauge manifold and hoses as well as a scale to weigh the amount of freon to put in or a clamp on AC ammeter to measure full load current, you should leave all that to a pro.
