My subaru outback legacy is electrically dead.
The first things you should verify ar as follows..
- Battery connections. Check if they are cleaned and tight. Also inspect the wires for corrosion or fraying.
- Fuses. Check the under hood fuse box for fuses that are burned. If you have no power to any systems in the car it may be a main fuse that is burned.
- Check that any ground connections around the fuse box are tight and free from corrosion.
When i remove the fuse or insert it only the fwd
From a Subaru mechanic:The FWD slot should not have a fuse in it. Remove the fuse and the AWD will work as it should. The slot is there for us to put a fuse in to test the rear portion of the AWD. With the fuse in, it shuts off power to the rear wheels.Remove the fuse and retest. From the mechanic I chatted with, the fuse should not be there - except when they are testing the AWD. I would take it out.He did say that if you run into a problem where the rear drive is not working correctly, you can put the fuse in, but ONLY LONG ENOUGH TO GET TO A SERVICE STATION - it is NOT meant as along term soluution
The security system goes off
you cannot and the only ones who ?an fit batteries and re-programme the keys again is the dealer ,all vehicles from 2005 are like this ,its to stop people from doing it themselves and create easy cash for the dealers ,sorry i couldnrt help
Please help??????????????
Make sure that your electrical connections are tight. Make sure that the feed wire to the alt is not grounding against the vehicle or engine.
1996 Subaru Legacy Wagon 250T 2ND GEN Transmission Issue.
Question edited for clarity.
Question moved to Model Category.
For strangeness like that you need the dealership. I would normally suggest a transmission specialist, but they will likely tell you that you need a new transmission.
Subaru a/c and heater fan doesn't work
You could have a blown fuse, bad relay, bad blower motor resistor pack, or just a bad blower motor. Start with checking your fuse to make sure you have power to you blower motor.
Does anyone know how to get the ABS light off of a 2006 subaru impreza wagon it just popped on and would prefer to have it off
The ABS light, (Antilock Braking System), is a warning light for the vehicles Brakes. The light is on because the vehicles electronics has detected a problem and the light will stay on until you fix it. You need to get this looked at by a good mechanic AS SOON AS POSSIBLE!
Are there any other warning lights on the dashboard? You should get the vehicle scanned for Diagnostic Trouble Codes, DTC's. These give clues as to where the problem If you need to pay for this service get prices at 4 or 5 places as prices can be VERY different.
