Hi Nicole,
If you haven?t messed with or tried to save new pictures on the camera since you deleted the Xmas ones then there may be hope. If you take the card to a camera shop that deals with digital cameras they can probably help you. There is a good case for doing the job yourself (and saving money); however, if the pictures are worth a lot to you it may be better to pay an expert to deal with it assuming you can find someone who knows what they are doing.
If you?re feeling adventuresome here is one software program that allows you to do a test before buying.
http://www.diskinternals.com/products/deleted-data-recovery/
It will show you what it can recover but if you want to get the images you have to pay $40 to activate the software. I?ve used this before and it worked for me but be aware there are lots of other programs, some free.
Here are a couple of free ones that I have never personally used but are rated fairly well:

Let us know how it goes and don?t forget to rate the posting.
My Samsung S630 digital camera has or should I say
Do NOT for any reason use the camera again to take pictures. If it has an internal memory, take it out and, if you need to use the camera, replace it with another compatible one.
Now if you can either mount the camera as USB disk, or you can extract the memory (SD card, stick, etc.) and plug it in the appropriate reader to see it as a disk drive, then you can run RECUVA (from Piriform) and you should be able to recover most of your images, unless:
1) Other data have been written on the memory (that's why I told you not to use the camera)
2) The memory card has been "securely deleted", something I think nobody therearound would do or even know how to do
3) The original, full memory card inside has been taken out and swapped with another (it happened to me once. My Canon and my Palm have compatible SD cards. I inadvertently swapped them). So your data are safe and sound -- maybe in a drawer somewhere :-)
Free software download lost
If you haven't done anything with the card since then, you may be able to recover at least some of the pictures. Do a Google search for "data recovery software" and select a program for your computer and operating system. Put the card back into the card reader, cross your fingers, and run the program.Next time, don't scan and fix. Personally, I always slide the lock on the card to the write-protect position before putting it into my card reader. Not only does it prevent the "scan" dialog from popping up, it keeps the computer from putting the recycle bin and other garbage onto the card.
Sammi James can't help get pictures on my computer lost in 2009.
Don't despair Rachel,
that is an easy fix; although I do not quite understand your question.
Your photos are safe as long as they are in your camera's memory.
If your PC hard drive in your pc is still ok, that data can be easily recovered as well.
But if your computer does not work, then you cannot download or upload anything until you get it going again.
So, what disk are you talking about you have not got ?
