Hi tazmattiejoe,
- The problem could be with the fuse , check if the fuse is proper and not blown up , if it's burnt then all you need to do is replace the fuse.
- If it's not burnt up then you need to check the input device for the amp and if you can see power being reflected on the amp and it's properly switched on.
- If the amp appears to be powered on but not working then you need to check if it's giving you an out put by changing the speakers , usually the input is the problem , when there is no input in the AMP or there is a mistake in connecting the input to the AMP there would be no output which could make us think that we have the problem in the AMP itself.
Therefore please check the inputs and out puts of the AMP and your CD/DVD player devices.
Hope that helps ...:) Let me know in case you require any further assistance , your feedback would be appreciated.
I hook up my amp
Fuses blow like that when there's an overload. This is often caused by a semiconductor device that is acting like it is a piece of wire. The most common fault in amps is the devices on the heatsink, that power the speakers. The cost will depend on how much the devices are and how many have gone.
Hello,

Only a human being looking at the possible physical damage could assess it. Obviously, something electrical and vital is making marginal contact. On the other hand, you also have the potential for something electrical and UNdesired to be touching. I'd proceed with caution. Get it to a shop.
Stereo makes a thump sound after a installed a
Are you turning of the amplifier first or the source of audio? Amps should be powered down first and then the source. If both are powered down at the same time make sure the volume is down or otherwise you will always get a thump. The opposite when you power up. The source and then the amp. Hope this helps.
Not enough Amp?
You should still get sound even with small amps but it would be rather weak. Check first the source of the signal. Test with different sources to be sure. Check for loose connections.
I need a repair - one of the amps had smoke coming
first you have to start by taking out the voltage out
from the transistor boards, check the power supply voltage
if its ok,the connect one borard at a time.if one bolw the fuse thats
the sort circuit.begeing by cheking the transistors and go on.
