Riccar 555su was given to me, is there an on/off switch? Can I remove a knee controller from cabinet and replace with a foot controller? Thanks.

Most foot controllers are attached to the cabinet to be used as a knee control. If yours appears to be a foot pedal and the cords are long enough, you can probably remove it from the cabinet and try it on the floor. Riccar Instruction Manuals Introducing with my Riccar 555SU part

a piping foot is a normal foot with one side cut off that allows the needle to be positioned next to the piping while the remainder of the foot holds the material down and progresses the material for sewing to do double piping you would need to sew one in first then repeat the operation laying the second piping in next to the first lot

Riccar serger hand wheel stiff

Could very well be seizing due to lack of oil or buildup of lint, etc. Sergers generally require frequent oiling with fresh good quality oil (consult the manual). Continuing to force the motor to run when the machine is seized can burn up the motor. ...

How can I replace the belt on a Riccar Rad 8 model

Your belt should not need replaced unless it has over heated the belt somehow. It has a lifetime belt. There are screws on the bottom of the vacuum that allow the cover of the nozzle assembly to be removed to gain access to the belt area. It may be less cost in the long run to have it looked at by a Riccar repair technician.
