If you have the model number of the Radio Shack universal remote, that would help tremendously. There are several that were made. If it's the model 15-302, here are the codes to try. This remote control have no set-up codes to Vizio. Set-up (Programming) procedure is too much to type in here, and is not practical and it will differ brand-to-brand remote controls. You can find the manual for the Radio Shack 4-in-1 Remote 15-2142 at ManualsLib and some other sites. No Magnasonic DVD players are listed. If your Magnasonic DVD/VCR was built more than 6 months before the remote was programmed, then the remote has the best chance of having the correct code. The copyright date for the manual appears to be 1999. I hope this helps. You may want to try searching through all of the codes. Codes would be for what .you are trying to connect to, not the remote itself

These are the codes when using your Radio Shack 15-2147 3 in 1 remote control....for Sylvania TV: 0054, 0030, 0171, 1931 for Panasonic DVD: 0247, 0701 Hope this helps.

The problem is Memorex does not make their own DVD players instead they have other companies make them and Memorex rebrands them in their name. I would need the DVD Player's model number in order to give you the correct code(s).

Sadly the codes for your brand of DVD player are non-existent however I have had limited success using the code 135. Hope this helps. Good Luck.

It would be helpful to have the model number for your 3-in-One remote. However, most of the codes are common for your Apex DVD player. These are codes a RadioShack Remote for an Apex DVD player. 0672, 0717, 0755, 0794, 0795, 0796, 0797, 083. Press the button for DVD on your remote. Then press and hold the Program button until it blinks. then, enter your 4-digit code, after entering, the Program button will blink. Aim the remote at the DVD and press the Power button on the remote. If the DVD turns off, then the remote is programmed for the DVD player. If not, repeat instructions and enter another code, until one is found that will turn off the DVD when the power button is pressed.You can also download an owners manual from RadioShack.com with the model number of your unit.

Check for fuses first, Some fuses are soldered to the board and not easily identified unless you read the printing on the board. Over volting can cause filter caps to open as well as the power transformer winding's. Some transformers have fuses buried inside, Test the windings with an ohm meter. No reading would indicate an open internal fuse. Doing surgery on that type of transformer can restore it by taking the fuse out and joining the wires.
