cinego 1000 Power button flashes red and the projector

Its a power supply issue. needs power supply replacement.

You most likely need a new light bulb. The bulb is an Osram P-VIP 180/230w. Just google it, or here is a link to it: http://www.purelandsupply.com/D1000-Bulb-Cinego-Lamp-Bulbs.html They cost about $180 new. Good luck!

PS - Be sure NOT TO TOUCH the bulb when you replace it. The oil in your finger skin will cause the lamp to fail early.

There is not much of an instruction booklet for this, I have found the only resources out there just for you though! It's at the bottom of my answer here...

Possible that the lid is broken and needs to patched up or the lid replaced if the safety switch is not closing to allow the projector to work.

Go back to Radio Shack...they should help.

Once the unit has been turned on the display will show ' CODE - - - -'

Press preset [ 1 ] repeatedly for the first digit
Press preset [ 2 ] repeatedly for the second digit
Press preset [ 3 ] repeatedly for the third digit
Press preset [ 4 ] repeatedly for the third digit

To save the code press the [ 5 ] key to accept.

The set should now operate

I have the same problem with my cinego.

Maybe we should all sue Radio Shack to take these machine back

This problem is wide enough to issue a recall.

You need to get the serial number off the sticker attached to the radio. It will require pulling apart your dash. Call an Acura dealership with that serial number and they should be able to provide you the code. Or you can take it directly to the dealer but you will be charged labor.

think you may find that the TV channels have gone digital and so this analogue tuner will not work .

Leave it SWITCHED ON..UNDISTURBED for as long as it takes to reset itself
