Well I'm 13 years late, but did you find a solution to your answer? I'm having the same problem

It can flash red as it approaches a full charge. Also, if it is approaching the battery dying. You said it had a new battery, maybe it is reflecting being near full charge. Otherwise, Check the flash to see if the bulb is burnt out. Next, check to see if the film cartridge is jammed. or is empty. It will also flash red if you purchased the incorrect film. If none of these options seem to be the problem, you may seek out support from the manufacturer.

What lovely memories must be stored. I am quite happy to offer my services to convert these movies to DVD. Whilst most companies would not touch Polavision cassettes, I am able to do this no problem.  Please contact me regarding quantity, etc. and I will give you a reasonable offer.

This camera appears to be some 40 years old now, so spares and service are unlikely to be obtainable. Why not replace it with a more up-to-date digital model ?

Id just open the back and pull it out like you would if it was empty. You will lose one or two prints, but the rest should be ok. Then you'll want to clean the little door that the print is supposed to come out. The Polaroid "goop" has probably seeped out into the hinges and it's just sticking. I remember using rubbing alcohol and a Q Tip.

The battery that operates the camera is in the film pack. If the film pack is outdated, the battery may be depleted.

Looks like uneven spread of developing chemicals to me - try a different (new !) film pack.

Is the entire print pack jammed in the camera, or is it the individual images which will not come out ?

AFAIK, the film comes ready packed inside the film cartridge, together with the electronics and processing chemicals. If there is no film cartridge, there is no film, so you are not taking photographs.

Is there possibly a crack in the body allowing light to affect the images ?

No. They are totally different and incompatible systems, sorry.

Maybe battery is working but barely. Try using another film pack. Make sure usin a new film pack something like Impossible Project 600 Film packs. Anyway unless you are a collector or it has some sentimental value I would move to one of these new Instant Cameras . These cameras work better and new Polaroid film and Instax film are way better. Twice or more cheaper too.

You can't change battery IMO. These film packs are not made that way.

Either your camera is broken or those film packs you used have gone bad. I hope it's the later case which can be fixed by using a different film pack. Impossible Project makes new film packs for Polaroid 600 series so better use those than old expired Polaroid film packs.
