check what mode the cd video is you may have to burn another one with the correct mode for pc
Right click program on cd go to properties check video name plus what is after the . ie home.wmv as you need to burn cds with a general code

EPG or Electronic Programme Guide is the on-screen version of a tv guide for digital tv. The remote control usually has a dedicated button for the display of the EPG. The information displayed is often incomplete and some digital boxes or tv sets perform better than others though in theory it needs no setting up. Once the box has searched and made a channel list the programme guide will be available.

You can contact Pinnacle and ask them for a replacement key, but I would suspect they will want you to buy an upgrade to your software. If your new PC is windows 7, your 2004 software will probably not work with it even if you have a code for it.
The good news is that the newer version probably has more features etc. and an upgrade option (if there is one) can save you $ over buying a full version.
I know for my own example that Roxio (another CD/DVD program) is only compatible with windows 7 on their 2010, and now their 2011 versions. Anything else will not work.

On your home PC, did you have to first install the driver software that came with the recorder,or is the firmware built into the recorder? If your home PC is non-Mac, say Win##, that could be the root, as Apple Macintosh runs on the LINUX platform. Otherwise do a web-search for 'Linux driver for Dazzle #####'
