Pacific Laser Systems PLS5. Are the left and

one of the problems with this type of equipment is the fact that the down beam has to be set to a true plumb position. If it is possible to swing the head without disturbing the mounting you can check for circling - motion of the down beam in a circular pattern - which indicates off plumb placement.

How can I repair my laser?

Simple answer, you cant. The PLS hand held lasers are not designed to be opened, or repaired. You will have to remove a decal to get the screws to open it, and doing so will mean the laser wont be sealed anymore. They are very susceptible to dust and debris. You can get it replaced with a PLS etn, from a PLS retailer. For free if you're under warranty, and for a reduced cost, if your not.

Hi, a jus turn on

The green LED on top is the power indicator. The PLS5 has 5 optic windows that should produce beams. Do Not look into the windows to see if there is a beam. Place your hand in front of each window. If there is no beam from any of the windows the unit is malfunctioning and requires service by an authorized service center. PLS states that there is NO service or repair that can be performed by the consumer beyond replacing the batteries and cleaning the optic windows This unit has a 1 year warranty from PLS.

Wont switch on even with

Hello barr..... Sometimes the culprit is corrosion of the battery contacts within the device. Remove the new batteries and use the eraser end of a common pencil to "scrub" the contacts until they are shiney clean. Then use a small flat blade screw driver to move those contacts a wee bit further out in the battery compartment to assure excellent contact. Finally, test those "new batteries" to be sure they are indeed charged fully. Joe

Thanks for choosing Fixya!
