No sound xp

if your computer came with a motherboard disc the sound drivers could be on it

click start control panel administrative tools computer management device manager scroll to sound video and game controllers you might see a yellow question exclamation mark? ! or a red X Right click to reinstall drivers

click start control panel sounds and audio volume advanced speakers make sure you have selected the

(appropriate speakers) also audio you will find 3 drop down lists make sure you have selected the correct speaker settings there

click start control panel sounds and audio devices select advanced there might be a tick in the mute box untick it

hope this helps if you dont have a motherboard disk you will have to download the drivers http://download.cnet.com/2000-20_4.html on the home page you should see a search tab just type in what you are looking for

IE: motherboard name audio driver you might have to try a few times to get it right

if his does not fix the problem

click start control panel sounds and audio devices you can adjust the volume there also select speaker volume you can change your settings there you can also tick in the box place icon in taskbar for any further volume control settings you will need to right click on the speaker volume icon system select adjust volume

click start control panel sounds and audio volume advanced speakers select the appropriate speakers

from the drop down list or navigate to the device manager scroll to system devices + to expand system speaker right click properties then select use this device (enable) also you might check

the speaker plug/outlets is usually at the back of the computer or if its a laptop on the side

you will have to open up the computer to check the lead attached to the rear of the input plug make sure the connection is good with no dust as dust causes static electricity

clean your computer of dust using a fine air blower from a compressor making VERY sure that there is no MOISTURE in the air line specifically around the sound card and the CPU central processing unit dust causes static to build up in a computer

hope this helps

No sound

the sound on 9150 is integrated, and can be turned on or off from the bios, go to bios and check if its off or on, download the latest driver from dell direct for your sound card, install the driver and restart the system, also check the plugs in back of pc that are connected, now try again and check if its ok now.

My sound is not wroking in my leptop

HOW TO INSTALL A DRIVER FORCEFULLY
----------------------------------
1. Look for the icon named "Computer" or "My Computer" and right click on it and select properties, this will open a window named "System Properties".
2. In the system properties windows click on the tab named "Hardware", and Select "Device Manager".
3. On this window you will see all the devices installed on your computer, look for the device not working properly (printer, dvd rom, keyboard, camera, mp3 player, etc), if there is a bigger problem, more likely you will see a cross by it, or an alert stating there is an issue with it.
4. Right click on the device you where having problems with and select uninstall, it will give you a confirmation, press OK
5. Once the device disappeared from the list, click on the menu bar icon that looks like a computer with a magnifying glass this will cause for the system to scan for any devices not registered and will force the re installation of the device.

Try changing the setting from the "Realtek HD Audio Manager" Select the correct input jack, double click it then "Which Device did you Plugin " window will pop up select the appropriate option and shall work. If this Does not work disconnect the speakers from the system, remove the sound drivers & reinstall it again, connect the speaker. This shall work now

Can't get speakers to work.

Hi...

Mostly of the sound driver now are need a compatibility if your installed driver is not compatible it will affect the hardware. It's better that you will know the model of your motherboard, if you know the model you need to search the model and download the sound driver witch is compatible.
For now the all motherboard are High Definition Audio.

Good luck!
