I HAVE A COOLPIX S520
Firstly, is it necessary to shout ?
As you surmise, it needs attention - however, since it was secondhand, the cost of repair may well outweigh the cost of replacement. How long a warranty did you get when you purchased it ?
Camera Screen black
Time for a new camera, the cost to have it exchanged by Nikon is near the cost to replace.
Blurred pictures
You may be using too slow a shutter speed, resulting in either camera shake or subject movement. See what the manual has to say on this.
I am having nikon coolpix S3200 camera, i tried to
A program such as "Pandora Recovery" has worked for me when I had deleted photos off of a SD card.
Not as many photos I used the free version up to 1 Gb. Suggest attempting to copy, if possible, the 3.2gb to another drive before starting any recovery.
If priceless photos suggest finding a professional recovery service and pay the $$
Hopr this helps?
I have a Nikon Coolpix
You have a white balance issue. Somewhere in the menu system is a command to alter the white balance - for indoor shooting by artificial light (i.e. light bulbs) it should be set to 'tungsten'. Using flash would overcome this, but the pictures would look very harsh and unnatural.

Why won't my Nikon coolpix L820 read a SD card
Is this a card that has worked before and now doesn't? Do other card(s) work in the unit? If a card is attempted to be installed backward, it can damage the internal connections and make the card slot inoperative. Also, there are restrictions on the type, size, and speed of cards that can be used (identified) within the device. Here is a link to the manual; check page 20 of the technical notes and index (page 230 of the pdf).

Cant see anything through camera
There is a button next to the viewfinder. When you press it, you go between the viewfinder and being able to see what you're shooting through the tiny video screen on the back. That should take care of it. Otherwise, it may need repair. Good luck.
Black Screen
Do more internet searches of your model. Sounds like the sensor chip died. Pretty expensive part. Could have not liked the salty environment or you are just unlucky. Do the search until you give up as there is a lot of info on internet. Cameras are getting pretty cheap now so if it is a little old or cheaper model, you may do better with a forced "upgrade".
Battery Temperature High - Nikon Coolpix S3100
If your battery is known GOOD. (I still think it could be the battery) Then the only last ditch effort you can do is RESET the camera. The operation is in the TOOL menu. It changes ALL your settings to factory default. If this does not help keep the battery cool then you have a severe electrical problem with the camera OR a BAD BATTERY.
