Hi my nextar unit says

on the case there will be a globe with a number init, thats the region code. you need to match the dvd to the players code.

First thing is to clean the laser with a disc cleaner kit to see if that cures fault. If not then can suspect mechanical with motor or drive

I recommend you check all the connections, try a different video/scart lead and ensure you have the correct video source selected on your TV.

I have sound but no picture

if it is portable read here: try a manufacture reset, or call nextar customer support

if it is a non-portable read here: check to make sure all the cords are in the right places and all the way in on both the dvd reader, and the tv. try different set if inputs on the tv (it may be just those ports that are bad), make sure it is not set on blackout (or a setting that only plays the sound, no picture, check the menu or some place on the remote, try a manufacture reset on both devices, and if all else fails call the manufacture

Nextar dvd portable player mp007

I had the same problem. I switched the AV switch from OUT to IN and back, a few times, and the LCD image miraculously and surprisingly returned.

Nextar-mp007 portable dvd

Hi,

Appreciate the "Ask Me". I am assuming that you tried the flashlight test.

Fixing the old one would of course require familiarity with electronic circuitry and components, use of a DVM & a soldering iron as well as availability of discrete components (your friendly neighborhood electronics part store may have them in stock). Normal culprits would be dried up, blistered or leaky capacitors. Rarely do the semiconductors break down (switching transistors) in an inverter circuit (but they would also from time to time). Often, it would be a case of cold/open solder and repairs involve is simply re-application of heat with a soldering iron and a dab of soldering lead. In instances where mostly everything checks out OK, it would be a resistor that has opened or gone up in value.

A replacement would be available (easiest to do). Most inverters used by portable DVD players are also used in laptops, GPS, depth/fish finders and other electronic devices that uses LCD display. That being said, the inverter would be manufactured by another company and would have their own part number not necessarily that of the player's manufacturer. Doing a Google for "inverter P/N" where P/N is the part number and you might be lucky.

How to remove child lock from BELTEK TV?

That sounds like it has a backlight fault. A good TV engineer can possibly repair that for you.
