How do you get it out of the power save mode...?
The monitor usually goes to the power save mode if there is no Video signal input. Check your VGA/HDMI cable(the cable which is connecting the monitor and the system) try bloing air through the connectors and reconnect the cable properly. Hopefully this will resolve the issue.
I dropped my monitor, right on a concrete floor
Hi Rshevlin,
There could be a lot of random parts that could have been jarred or damaged internally with your CRT monitor. It was already fortunate that you didn't break the glass screen, but as you said already with your post it didn't come out unscathed (green and red area on the screen).
I strongly suggest that you have a technician check out the monitor and see which part if any got damage or jarred inside your monitor.
I also won't recommend opening your CRT monitor with the high voltage inside it. You may run the risk of getting electrocuted.
Hope this helps you.
Intermittent display problem, NEC Multisync 1760NX
This usually happens when the resolution is set incorrectly for the monitor. If you have been using the same setup, probably an update changed the driver or setting for the video card. If it is a new monitor, try hooking up the old one and change the resolution to something the new monitor can understand. If you have been using it for some time and this is all of a sudden, then try to borrow a monitor and change the resolution to something the monitor can understand. If you borrow one and can get it working, also look and make sure the video card has a driver installed. Sometimes an update can change things.
