My wi fi orange light is blinking on my lexmark x4650 printer

The blinking WiFi light on your printer indicates either your printer is trying to communicate with your wireless network or your printer is not connected at all. For a quick fix, try to disconnect your printer from the power outlet. Power cycle your router and reboot your computer. Then, power on your router first, then your printer and lastly your computer. Check the WiFi light on your printer. If it goes to a solid green, that means you are connected back in your network. If not, you may reset your printer's wireless network adapter to its default settings. From the printer operator panel, press the Setup button > Network Setup > Reset Network Adapter to Default. The WiFi light on your printer will momentarily turn off then back on solid orange. Then try to run the Lexmark Wireless Setup Utility on your computer to reconfigure your printer to connect to your wireless network.I hope this helps.

Blinking orange light

Hello there This may work for you, it has worked for many here I given this advice so gave it a try it could work for you. Generally when this happens, something has fallen into the printer, or a piece of paper has been jammed in there.

First step, remove the ink cartridge, and turn the printer upside down and gently shake it, see if anything comes out.

If nothing goes, or you can't hear anything rattling around, get a piece of cardstock paper (60lb or heavier) and gently push this through the printer, to see if it will help push out what might be stuck in there.

And gave the rode that the ink slides on a good clean and maybe a bit oil on cloth and wipe the rod with it.

Also clean The purge unit, called a spittoon assembly in an HP, Lexmark, Caonon and other inkjet printers, is where the print head assembly parks when not in use, also its other job is to clean and make sure the print head is clean and open for printing.

That is where you'll find the print head assembly parked on top of it.
It also has an electrical pump to milk the print heads and test for ink flow.

So clean all under where the heads are parked and on IP6600D models you can take out the heads just by clipping them out, and then clean well.
Please come back and just gave a vote, it will gave me some satisfaction to know am helping some one so I will keep on helping.

The orange paper light with

The flashing light could indicate either a communication problem between one of your cartridges and the printer, a short in one of the cartridges, paper jam or the cartridge carrier has stalled. Please follow the steps below to fix the problem:

1. Remove the sheets of paper from the feeder. Make sure there are no foreign objects or debris in the feeder.

2. Open the printer cover and remove both the cartridges.

3. While the cover is open, ensure there are no paper jams and the cartridge carrier is free from obstructions.

4. Close the printer cover.

5. Rebrick (pull out power supply, black box where the power cord is plugged in at the back of the printer, and put it back after 30 seconds).

6. When the printer turns on, reinsert one cartridge first.

7. Close the printer cover and check the light status.

8. If light on printer is normal, open the printer cover and reinsert the other cartridge. Check the light status.

9. Replace whichever cartridge is causing the light to flash with a new cartridge. You can also try to insert a different known working cartridge to determine if the other is faulty.

10. Load some paper. Try to print again.

Lexmark all in one center download

I had this same problem and it doesn't look like anyone else has solved it yet. I spoke with tecnical support and got it resolved.
I have windows vista so your instructions might be slightly different.
start> computer> double click the C folder> drivers> printer> 1200(or whatever series printer you have)> applications> then the  set up folder with the CD icon.
It will install the scanner software. Also, the website has been updated on lexmark so that includes the all in one software now. So, if you have the older version from 2008, then delete the old software out of your printer folder and go to lexmark and install the new one.
Any other questions, email me. [email protected]

How to tell when its out of ink not printing and 2 lights blinking

Its not an Issue with the Out of Ink Error: Please try the below mentioned steps and let me know what happens: It insists there is a Cartridge problem on the Printer............ In this Case take out the Paper from the Paper Feed Tray........ Unplug the Power Supply from the Printer.......... Remove both the Cartridges from the Printer.......... Now take a size 10 Envelope fold it so that it should become like a thin long strip........ Now Insert that Envelope on the left side corner of the Printer and move it from right to left and left to right as fast as u can for about 10 times.......... Now Insert the Ordinary Papers onto the Printer and insert both the catridges and Turn on the Printer...... Blinking Stopped...........Issue Resolved....... Still Blinking: Remove both the Cartridges take a Paper Towel turn the catridges direction so that u can see a Copper plate with small boxes on it....... Just wipe it twice or thrice with the Paper Towel.......... Now insert it and Power on the Printer and see whether the Lights are still blinking if it is still blinking...... Good Luck!!!!!

Error message. 924.01 service BEWARE SPAM NUMBER 1-800-532-4187

The 924.01 service fuser error indicates either the fuser unit is not able to reach/maintain the correct temperature or the fuser unit is not working. What you can do:
  • Turn off printer. Turn on after 30 seconds.
  • Plug printer straight to power outlet in the wall. Bypass any surge devices or power strips, they draw away power from the printer.

If problem continues, contact Lexmark technical support(under warranty) or your local authorized service provider for professional repair.

Printer lexmark ej error

The EJ error message on your model indicates that the print cartridge carrier has stalled. It could be due to the cartridges or the encoder strip (transparent strip found behind the cartridge carrier) has gotten loose from its position. Please follow steps below to identify and fix the problem:
  1. Open the printer cover and remove both the cartridges. Note: If the carrier does not automatically move to the center, turn off the printer/unplug the printer from the power source and then slide the carrier to the center.
  2. Check the encoder strip and make sure it is secured in its place.
  3. Close the printer cover.
  4. Re-brick your printer. Pull out the power supply, black box where the power cord is plugged in at the back of the printer, and put it back after 30 seconds.
  5. When the printer turns on, reinsert one cartridge first. Close the printer cover and check for any errors.
  6. If no error appears, reinsert the other cartridge. Close the printer cover.
  7. Replace whichever cartridge is causing the error to appear with a new cartridge.
  8. If no error appears, try to print a document again to verify that the problem is fixed.
Should you still need assistance, please leave a comment to my response and I'll get back to you. Should this resolves your problem, your rating will be greatly appreciated.

What is an ORC?

ORC is life form in the Lord of The Rings. What you want is OCR which stands for Optical Character Recognition. It is the software that converts a scanned document into a string of characters that you can edit to correct OCR errors. To be able to scan to a computer the computer and the printer must be connected through a USB port or be part of the same network. When you press the scan button, the printer tries to communicate with the computer and launch the scanning software installed on the computer.Install the software that shipped with your printer, connect the computer and the printer. If everything is correctly connected and installed, the scanning software will open to receive the scanned document.

Open Contents folder > open Package folder and manually install the Abby Finereader application.
However, if you don't have the installation disk, contact Lexmark technical support. Thanks.
