Have a Lakewood HV9 that died.
No. If my memory is correct it has a thermal fuse in the winding that opened. It was not designed to be replaced or repaired. Your berings froze up stalling the motor. It got hot and took out the fuse. You got a lot of years of good service from it.

There is a thermal resistor on the inside of the motor which goes out with age. It is not expensive, a dollar or two, but it can be tricky to replace. I cannot tell you what size the resistor is since I have not opened the motor yet.
