Konica Minolta Magicolor - Recent Questions, Troubleshooting & Support


The problem is in weakened solenoid's (SD2) spring (10). That solenoid located under metal cover (13) on left side of 1690MF (if look at front of them). Required solenoid has red wires. Remove metal cover with 3 screw, unscrew solenoid and just slightly stretch spring (10). That is all.

Is it the toner cartridge or is it the image unit cartiridge?

If it got jammed in the fuser unit (the hot part) the fuser can come out as a unit then remove the media wad

1. Main switch is tuned ON.
2. Press the following keys in this order
2 -> 6 -> 2 -> 7 ->3
3. Main switch is tuned OFF/ON

Is that true for both print and copy job ?
Where does the jam happen ?

I am thinking if it is at the paper pickup roller area just as the job starts to print and not midway while printing, check the paper quality; dirty pickup roller; clean cork pad and try job from another tray

Might be the senor that bottle acturates is bad or has toner on it!!! clean the sensor

Controller error could be a bad main board, have tech come out try to reflash the firmware (copier operating system) not driver
