I need to uninstall the all in one kodak printer softwarebut keep getting a 'system error at runtime 8193' message. How do I get around that?
A
runtime error is a software or hardware problem that prevents a program from working correctly. Runtime errors might cause you to lose information in the file you're working on, cause errors in the file (corrupt the file) so you can't work with it, or prevent you from using a feature. Unlike
stop errors, runtime errors don't typically cause Windows or a program to stop working.
Here are few steps that you may try in order to fix the issue.
a. Turn off the all-in-one printer and, if connected via USB, remove the USB 2.0 cable.
b. Remove KODAK AiO Home Center Software from your computer.
NOTE: Select
Control Panel > Programs and Features.
c. Reinstall the latest software for your printer.
I.
Locate and select the software download for your printer.
II. Follow the instructions to install the software.
d. Reconnect the USB cable when prompted during the installation.
Printing problem with the kodak 5100
Theres alot of possible reason why you're having those print out. In your case since your complaining about the ink being to wet.. check the paper that ur using is it a photo paper? is it inkjet compatible? did you use the same paper you used before? Possible that your Print Head is defective. Have you tried using the ITG(interavtice troubleshooting Guide) www.kodak.com/go/itg
If that does not work call kodak. 1-800-421-6699. :-P

My printer is printing like a reverse negative. please note spam number below
On many printers (i can't speak specifically to yours) there is a "negative" setting.
All I can suggest is to browse through your printer properties:
"Start"
"Control panel"
"Printers and faxes"
"right click" the printer icon"
Then "left click" on "properties"
Then browse in your "printing preferences" though all of the buttons and you will likely find a "negative" setting or something similar. then deselect it.
I hope this helps.

Getting a print error 3802,
Hi. Error means your printer failed to communicate with the printhead. If issue is not resolved by turning the printer off/on then you need to buy a new printhead. Here's a

Printing quality
Printing quality on this printers is great, yet there are some trouble with older printheads.
You should follow this in order to fix the problem:
- Remove both ink cartridges
- Remove printhead (press release button on the inner left corner of the printhead, above where the black ink cartridge goes)
- Close the cover and wait until it tells you that the printhead is missing. When it does, open the cover again and place the printhead inside (put it in and press towards the back of the printer, make sure it makes a loud snap).
- place both ink cartridges in
If the printer says "press start to copy", press the menu button and select calibrate printer, and then select "print calibration sheet".
If it just tells you that there is a new printhead detected and calibration is requiered, follow the instructions it will give you.
Once you calibrate the printer,
- Press menu, scroll down to "clean printhead" and select "deep clean"
Once that is completed, go ahead and print.
If it is still not working, you got a defective printhead and you need to replace it.
You will need to go to kodak.com/go/itg for additionl troubleshooting and the replacing of your printhead, or you should just call 1 800 421 6699 and have then replace the printhead for you. This is free of charge.
My printer is not printing with all of the colors
I'm having a simialr problem, I can get my Kodak EasyShare 5300 printer to print pictures just fine, I can even get it to copy & print from the scanner. In both black and color inks. What I can not get the Kodak EasyShare 5300 Printer to do is to print from Microsoft Office Word, or Works for that matter any text document what so ever. I've never had a problem with the printer ever, not even when I upgraded to Windows 7 it printed just fine up till a few months ago and started acting up. At first I thought it was because I hadn't used it in awhile so I replaced both cartridges so they are brand new. Tried my experiment again and it did the same thing, pictures, and copy and print from the printer works just great...text however from the Word programs....nothing but a blank page.
Running Windows 7 - 64 bit Dell Touchscreen, Dual Core Processor. Before you ask...before this incident the Kodak Printer intergraded just fine and worked without incident. Since it is not the printer portion (unless its the printhead), it has to be a software problem...although, I used the disk that came with the printer to re-install it and not from the web just in case that was the problem. Course would installing the web upgraded software be of any assistance? Anyone have any solutions? Thanks.
