Can't tell if it burns dvds

Perform an observation of the written descriptions located on the device burner. DVDR +W is indication of capacity to burn DVD R+W only. Usually, the empty disk has to be compartible with the burners specification to commnece downloads.

KHCRW 52 24 52 CD-ReWriter not recognized

Hi,
Change the Jumper To Master Or Slave.
CS Is cable Select, your computer may not support this Option.
If installing on a cable with a drive, already connected. i.e hard-disk. if the hard-disk is slave set the cd rom to master.
Enabling both channels, is the 2 individual slots on your motherboard. Primary And Secondary. Or IDE 1 And IDE 2.
This will solve your Problem.
