Possible free manual but unsure if this is the same model or not.

Last page has Sears phone numbers to request assistance.

97962 is not the complete model number; it's missing the manufacturer's prefix and the version suffix. SearsPartsDirect lists several laundry center models that start with 417.97962. One parts list is here: .The lid lock assembly for this washer is shown on the lower cabinet/top diagram as part 50, .

I hope this helps.

Probably the transmission. I installed a rebuilt once that sounded like what you describe. Washer worked OK though.

-You can't hack more water but you can replace the water level sensor
-Sound like the water level sensor is malfunction. How about replace it to find out what happened. You can buy from Amazon
or online. Make sure provide your model number and must match your old one before order.

Good luck

i don't know. it seems there is no cold water available. it may be the washing machine's cold water solenoid needs replacing or the wire has come off the connector. if you wish, can buy a ' y ' connector and run both through the hot water hose to have warm water only.
there may be a 'twist' in the cold hose. also, make sure the cold water tap is on. most supply hoses have a small screen filter in the hose. sometimes they become blocked.
you can shut off the water taps and unhook both hoses to clean these screens. old hoses may weaken so if replacing, consider flexible metal hoses.

This is usually a sign that the lid switch/lock is not working and needs to be replaced.

Remove the plug from the wall or trip the breaker. Reconnect the coin mechanism and plug it back in. This should reset it. Put money into it and then retrieve the coins.

This article says F34 is clothes in a machine that is set to the Clean Cycle!

This confirms

I don't know if you've tried this, but when my washing machine misbehaves or the buttons wig out or it stops working, I just unplug from 110 for a few minutes and plug it back in. This has always worked for me.

Most stackers have a frame which goes around the top of the washer and a lip above which the dryer sits on. If you cant get the correct frame, ive seen Customers who sit the dryer on a towel above the machine and then at the back, use a couple of metal straps that have been screwed into the dryer and top of washer using the original screws that hold the backs on both machines.
