Hitachi nr90ad framing nail gun fires one nail then will not retract fully and dry fires. Have to push firing rod back manually.

Have you disconnected it from the air source and deep cleaned the nail gun? Sometimes even a tiny bit of dirt can block the rails the rod runs in. Once cleaned add a small amount of oil to the rod runners.

Hitachi nailer not working

Test the volts and amps of the battery after charging, then try to shoot nails then test again after the blinking orange light. Battery is failing, they only have a certain number of recharge cycles and are also governed by age degradation. https://www.google.com/search?q=hitachi+nailer+battery+problems+and+solutions ..

I put 10 drops of oil in my Hitachi pin nailer and it still doesn't set the pins all the way down .

It is possible that the oil you added to your Hitachi pin nailer isn't the correct type or that it has not been added in the correct amount. You should refer to the manual that came with the pin nailer to determine the correct oil type and the proper amount to use. If this does not resolve the issue, you may need to take your pin nailer to a technician for repair.

Faulty micro switch in Hitachi NR90GC

Hi, had the same problem. After market micro switch replacement for Hitachi NR 90GC from RS Components Stock number 682-1888 MPN; D2HWC203MR.Note; this requires soldering in with heatshrink and cutting flyleads to correct length. Part of the alignment issue can be the handle screws working loose over time with use. Don't force anything back when assembling and use a little grease on contact parts.

Why doesn't it fire?

Bad fuel is the #1 reason for this - check the expiration date on the bottom of the fuel cell. Some stores don't rotate their stock, so it doesn't matter if you just bought it. If you're sure the fuel is good, I would check the cycle - 1) Disassemble the tool, plug the battery in, without depressing the nose, just pull the trigger (Fan should start) If the fan doesn't start, it will either be the trigger or possibly the fan motor. 2) With your hands in a safe location away from the fan blade, depress the head switch (Fan should start & light should be steady green), then pull the trigger - you should have a nice sharp, blue spark. If step 1 is OK and step 2 produces no spark, it will most likely be the ESU

I have 3 Hitachi benders VB 16Y and works only when it wants too. I plug in and press trigger and some times works and other times does not work , also checked the brushes and there is plenty left.

I know nothing about these tools but Hitachi produce quality gear that isn't usually prone to intermittent faults. If I was faced with your situation I would check the power cord for internal breaks and check the internal connections and then investigate the functioning of any safety device that might be incorporated into the design - such a powerful tool would surely have safety built in or modern legislation would never allow them to be used on site. It was just a sort of gut feeling as it seems to be the built in safety that fails on many tools...

I have a Hitachi NR90GC2 nailgun and it isn't sparking. I've serviced it and charged the batteries but nothing happens except that the indicator light keeps flashing red!! Please help or advise.

There is a cascade(tripler) that will have problems or may be the isolator in the high volt cable internally to the point where the spark is its a difficult job to do it must be removed try the last aid to use cold cleaning solvent the whole assembly with cable a very little change but after cleaning and blow it dry with a compressor may be a little change

Hitachi nailer doesn't fire, it has no leaks. When trigger is pulled there is no back pressure from trigger

I've had that happen before and what I found was one of the Staples or nails had misfired and wedged before leaving the gun. read the manual on how to get to it for that particular model and also it might be a good idea to adjust your pressure accordingly to keep it from happening again. If the force isn't set proper then a nail could Jam , block the mouth and not allow any other nails to exit. It's very easy to do and not that hard to fix once you've done it at least once. Good luck.

Hi I have a hitachi gas strip nailer it doesn’t fire I have changed the spark plug and checked the adapter the adapter is ok the spark plug is new but still not firing is ther anything else I can do any information would be appreciated Thank you Danny

The number one issue is bad fuel - even if you just purchased it, turn the cell over and check the date stamped on the bottom (often stores don't rotate their stock) If the fan starts when the nose is depressed but there is no spark then I would investigate the spark wire (make sure there are no nicks or cuts that may short to ground) and the ESU (Electronic Spark Unit).

HITACHI NT65MA4 When not used for a few minutes, doesn't want to fire. Holding trigger down for a few minutes and eventually fires. Then works fine? What causes long pause?

Sounds like it's overly dry; needs oiling. Or there is something clogging the air lines or the air chamber inside the gun.

My hitachi nail gun NR90gc2 will not fire

Check the date of the bottom of the gas. With the gas removed when you fire it you should hear a faint spark sound from the top. If gas is in date try putting it in your pocket for 10 minutes to warm it up. Open the front and make sure the piston is pushed all the way up into the machine.

My brand new Hitachi roofing nailer emits a mini whoosh of air (from the ball the trigger pushes on, I think) as I depress the trigger, but stops when it it fully depressed. Is this normal?

It sounds like you're producing difficulties yourself by attempting to solve this problem rather than seeking at why their can be a difficulty inside very first place https://www.fliptite.com/
