Cordless mic not working
How old is it? The problem with older electronic products is that capacitors suffer what is commonly called "ESR failure." ESR stands for equivalent series resistance. Basically, they simply dry out over time, or leak. New capacitors usually are very INexpensive (a few cents apiece), but most people know next to nothing about them, nor how to troubleshoot them in-circuit. On the other hand, some of us do know how, but labor is expensive. The best solution, is to simply replace ALL the capacitors in such units, which will usually cost less than $5.00 for the whole lot, and either replace them yourself, or have a friend or hobbyist replace them for you. But soldering technique is important! Soldering is not for beginners, nor for wimps!

I just brought a coby touchscreen and all it will
No - you do not need an sd card to watch movies and listen to music. This device has built-in memory that you can load using your computer.
Make sure you have content on is that is compatible with it your device and that it was installed using the program that it needs.
If your device only says "please wait" and doesn't let you do anything or access other menus, it is likely that it is defective and needs replaced.
Hope this helps!
Please rate my solution!

Music from computor to phone
Could be you have bought a microSDHC. I think these mobile only support microSD. To find if the card is being recognised by the phone, go to the settings menu and look for a "memory" menu. This will tell you how much memory the phone has found, if there is only the 10MB internal then the card is the wrong type.

HOW DO I TURN IT ON/OFF?
You didn't list a brand or type, but for the most part, modern MP3 players don't have a "power switch" per-say. Most just go into a low-power, or 'sleep' state, but technically stay "on" all the time. There are still some that can be turned off completely, including some of the ones that 'go to sleep', by using a special key sequence. The method is specific to each model, and I would need to know the brand and model to help out any further.

Hourglass nd blue screen
unplug it from the comp if you havent already. does it have those sunken reset buttons? check the manual or online if you are not sure. if YES, reset the device and move on to the next step. If NO, you can either remove the battery (if possible) and try it back after a little while, or better, let it run out of charge and remove the battery then. By this time, please reboot the computer to make sure its fresh, to use layman language. Does it use a wall charger or has to charge on the comp? Does it have a regular USB 2.0 slot, cuz then you can use your phone charger or some other wall charger with the regular usb jack (male part). If no wall charger, I guess just re-plug it into the rebooted computer, and see if this helps it any. Sometimes my old Ipod 1st gen nano does this, and does not have a reset button or a way to remove the battery, so i just let the charge run out and the battery die, and when I charge it again, it works just fine. tell me how this works.
