You can get the player with the remote brand new at amazon.com for $29.99
Otherwise you can pay GPX $10 for a new remote or you can go to remotes.com and get one.
Ebay is also recommended.
I just found your remote at remote.com as well
When i put a cd
You're probably missing a codec.
get VLC Media player (free on the web) and play the movie with that.
I'll almost guarantee that VLC will play the movie properly.
Regional code
1.- TURN ON THE DVD PLAYER
2.- PRESS OPEN/CLOSE
3.- PRESS THE FOLOWING NUMBERS 8888
4.- PRESS ENTER UNTIL SHOW "Region code: 9" (Region Free)
5.- PRESS OPEN/CLOSE
OR
1-Turn on your DVD player.
2-Open the tray.
3-Press 9 five times, you will see a number (for me it was 6, you'll see it on the screen, where the DVD displays all messages, like a blue bar up top) then I pressed 9 a few more time until the number being displayed there turned to a 9, when it does then press enter, now it's region free.
Dvd wrong region
Not all DVD players can be used in different regions, yes there is a code you can use to enable use in different regions depending on the unit. If you access the "setup" menu from your remote you may be able to select the region but I believe this player is only supports US NTSC TV standard if you bought it in the USA and JPG for photos.
Wrong region
probably you are trying to play a disc that is not zone free or you need a code for your player to make it zone free. you may be playing a zone 2 disc ( PAL) on a machine that only takes zone 1 (NTSC) or vica-versa.
DVD Player D1816 shows Wrong Regional Disc message
Many DVD players are preset to one region and if you use a DVD destined for any other region, the player will refuse to play. Some players have the option to change this to universal mode. Check your player's manual if yours has this facility.
Yes. You can play VCD movies and and Audio CDs on most players.
Wrong regional disc
Hello mperona,
The reason you are receiving this message is due to the region settings on your dvd player. Dvd players use region settings to allow them to only play dvd's from certain parts of the world. Your dvd player's region settings do not match the region code of the dvd disc.
The only way is to make your dvd player multi region....you will need to post the make and model of your dvd player so I can search for a solution that will work.
Thank you for choosing Fixya!
