This fault usually happens if the disc being read is not compatible with the player's firmware.
If discs are burnt from a computer, or copies, this can happen.
Does it do this with all DVD's?
Are you using commercial retail DVD's?
Otherwise something else is telling the player 'No Disk'.
Try a disc-based lens cleaner as laser may be grubby.

How to set my DVD/VHS Govideo player...
If you used to put the TV on channel 3 to watch the videos that means you had this hooked up with the RF RG6 COAX cable. You most likely had this passing thru the cable box and then to the TV, but with the new digital format that may not work any more. A quick fix for this is to take the coax wire from the player and hook it up directly to the TV Cable port then flip your tv to 3 and it should work. If you have an older tv without the newer connections you may have this port already in use with the cable box - if that is the case you may need to get an RF switch or splitter. hope this helps If you need further help, reach me via phone at

Dvd player will not load disk and play?
From your description it is hard to tell if the problem is from the disk or the player. Can you try another disk? If that loads and plays the problem is with the previous disk you tried to load. If there is a problem with the DVD player, it will be cheaper to buy a new one than try to repair. You can even find DVD players at some of the resale shops for under $10. Good luck.
