These microwave ovens have a series of door switches. One of yours has gone bad or a plastic finger on your door mechanism that pushes the switches is worn or broken off. They are commonly called NC or NO swithes some ovens have up to 6 of these working together. If you have no expertise in this field consult a repair shop. Please rate me
Comment posted on Jan 12, 2009 there are two types ,normally open and normally closed, NO NC . u have to check continuity on each one and each switch will have a diagram on the side showing its in use position. I hope this has been helpful
To find parts with the specified P/NO : DE68-00307A, consider checking online stores or websites specializing in electronics, or reaching out to the original manufacturer or authorized dealers for information on availability and cost.
Not advisable the as the door micro switches are the main safety feature and have to be carefully adjusted and the door catches checked for tightness against seals and then a device used to check for Microwave leakage. Professional repair only. Any screws you might find will be high security tamper proof screws.

If your GE Spacemaker XL 1400 microwave oven is not turning on, there are a few things you can do to diagnose the problem and try to remedy it. First, unplug the microwave oven and plug it back in again to supply power back to the oven after a power surge. Second, make sure the door is firmly shut as the oven does not operate unless the door is completely closed. Third, check the breaker box to make sure the switch associated with your microwave oven is not flipped to the "Off" position. Finally, press and hold the "Clear/Off" button on the front panel if the "Locked" message appears on the display. If none of these steps work, then the problem could be anything from a defective control circuit board or a burned out magnetron tube. Either fix is quite expensive and you'll have to evaluate the cost of repair versus the cost of replacing the microwave oven.
Sorry, but the subject lines get cut off after so many characters.
Thanks for replying.
Part # DE63-00204A looks like a valid Samsung part number but it doesn't show up anywhere, so it's likely a proprietary part made only for GE and not available separately.
You can see a helpful exploded view of this model here.
Then you can go here and enter your model number and come up with the parts list. This site has much better prices than GE.
Normally you have to separate the door panels (as shown in the attached photo) and then you'll see the previously hidden screws you need to remove.
Or you can watch a YouTube video (not a video I made) that demonstrates how it's done.
Chances are you will end up having to but more than you want to, but not the whole door.

Please don't type in all CAPS, it is considered SHOUTING and harder to read.
Dangerous for 'ordinary' people to open up microwave ovens and mess around with safety microswitches. They are just a simple switch, open or closed, so it doesn't matter.

or contact GE direct. We aren't them.

The only cause of clunking I can think of is the turntable motor not engaging the drive spindle of the platter properly. Remove the platter and see if the noise goes away.
My Advantium 240 damper motor was cycling as mentioned above in the morning after a power failure had occurred. Removing the top vent grille and control panel I could see the inlet damper was opening fully and stopping about halfway closed then retrying. Removing power and cycling by hand, i could move it freely until just before it would contact the micro switch at home position where there was a hard stop. I removed the light assembly on top of the cavity and was able to access the rod that spans across to the outlet damper near the halogen light. A combination of fiddling with the connecting rod inside the light housing and manually cycling the inlet damper reseated the rod and everything was working again. My guess is the power failure was the cause and hopefully the issue won't return.
The
paint should be available at big box stores like Wal-Mart, home
improvement centers like Builder's Square, Lowe's, or Home Depot, or
hardware stores or local appliance parts stores.
You can order the plastic sheet (called the "door film") here. It is part # WB06X10490.
Be sure the mesh is clean and dry before installing the new film.
