My Dear, try to find a self help group in your area, in the subject that relates to you , or if you can afford it see a therapists. It is very difficult and painful to come to terms with childhood trauma, but be STRONG and Confident ,that you will do it. Keep telling yourself I AM NOT MY PARENTS! and REPEAT, I SHARE no blame. Methadone is a very powerful (schedule II narcotic- opiate) that has its own serious side-effects if not taken properly, let alone when mixed with other drug medications. Usually a person who is prescribed methadone must be weaned off this narcotic slowly / gradually. Serious withdrawals can occur. The big concern with any combination of drugs, are their interactions with other drugs... like Amantadine. it can affect the efficacy of the drugs in the blood stream- either increasing or decreasing the dosages of either or.
