I have a Emerson 6 disk CD changer. The door no longer opens and its making a funny noise. What can be wrong with it?
If your Emerson 6-disc CD changer's door is not opening and it's making a funny noise, there could be a few possible causes:
1. Mechanical issue: There could be a mechanical problem with the CD changer's door mechanism. It's possible that a part has worn out, become loose or broken, preventing the door from opening. The funny noise could also indicate that something is stuck or jammed.
2. Electrical issue: It's possible that there is an electrical problem with the CD changer. There could be a faulty connection, or an issue with the motor that drives the door mechanism.
3. Dirty or dusty: It's also possible that the CD changer's door mechanism is dirty or dusty. Over time, dust and debris can build up inside the changer, making it harder for the door to open and close.
To fix the problem, try these steps:
1. Unplug the CD changer from the power outlet and wait for a few minutes before plugging it back in. Sometimes, this can reset the CD changer and fix any software issues.
2. Try manually opening the CD changer door. Look for a small hole or slot near the CD changer door. Insert a paper clip or a similar object into the hole and gently press down. This should release the door lock and allow you to manually open the door.
3. If the CD changer door opens, check for any CDs that may be stuck or jammed. Carefully remove any obstructions and try again.
4. If the CD changer door still does not open, there may be a mechanical or electrical issue. In this case, it's best to take the CD changer to a qualified repair technician or contact Emerson customer support for assistance.
Remember to always exercise caution when attempting to repair electronic devices. If you are unsure about how to proceed, seek the help of a qualified professional.
I tried to install my emerson dvd player and the
It is now confirmed that your emerson is faulty. Please remove the connection open the set if there is no breach of warrranty- if new- and look inside. try and tighten all the connector points, the joints, the flat cords. check the leadds to the front panel and check for any breaks. Assuming this was working earlier and has failed now, then you will need to check on the display/ processor for failure. If aftera ll this check the light are staying on then you have a possible failure of the micro processor. confirm with a signal check, frequency oscillation and if not present replace. Helpful? Good day

Well stupid of me, i must have checked all wiring first...Audio cable was faulty and my infrared audio unit popped. Must search for agency in South Africa to buy new infrared unit? Can the headrest screens be bought through agents as well? I'ts for e46 bmw.
My son took off the door that covers the dvd
the best solution is to call the company and see if they can send a new one or you try to take the cover off and find the safety switch and krazy glue it down so it will operate be advised that any jaring or moving may make the disk skip. thank you for your question
Are these speakers any good?
These would make great secondary subs if your going for an elaborate install, but in the end even cheap no name subs will sound good if coupled to a good amp. The best way to know is to test them, push on the cone and feel it's resistence, if it feels tight, they should pound, if not, be careful.

There is a possibility that you have a weak video signal. You can boost this with a small video amplifier. This is most commonly seen in set-ups that have multiple monitors or when you have long video cable runs like you would see in an RV back-up camera system.
