It could be from a few different things, first you will need to determine which part of the vacuum the screeching is coming from to narrow down what it could be. Is it from the ball and motor area, the dust canister, the brushroll or power Head?

Probably debris-clogged end caps on brush roller

The clicking usually means a restriction in the brushroll. Make sure the brush will spin freely. If all else is good You may have a defective clutch.
