Hello, this is Ava with Think Crucial.

To fix any you vacuum problem, a proper maintenance will do the trick. Most of the time cleaning the filters, checking for blockages and clearing the passageways, and cleaning the brush roll assembly will resolve this. And if after doing maintenance it is still the same, that replacing the parts will most of the time make your vacuum work like brand new.

Hello, this is Ava with Think Crucial.

I don't think there is a reset button to any Dyson cleaners. However, yourDyson vacuum has a safety device which automatically shuts off if it begins to overheat. In cases like this, you may need to wash your filters and check for blockages. If your machine turns off on its own, unplug it and leave it for at least an hour to cool down. Before turning it back on, make sure that there are no blockages in the attachments and filters are washed.

Hello, this is Ava with Think Crucial.

If your vacuum doesn't turn on, make sure that plug is fully inserted into a fully functional electronic outlet. If it still not turning on after verifying this, it could be that the power switch is malfuntioning. You may need to replace the power switch by opening up the handle of your vacuum. I suggest to refer to your manual on how to replace the power cord or contact Dyson for troubleshooting steps. 1-844-679-1647

easy fix, unplug the machine sit in front of it. put your thumb on the on/off button and push down and slip your thumb off of it as fast as you can so it pops real loud. Do this ten times and then plug back in and see if it works. ( this came from talking with Dyson people) Hope it works for you. They said this will reset the machine. also acts as a warning that your filters most likely need cleaned.

Pull the wand out of the Vac. Need to use a small Torx bit to take out 2 screws hidden behind the wand storage. Once screws are out, there are 4 push-clips which need to be un-latched. Pry the power panel off and you will expose the two switches (one for power, one for the brushes). Push the power switch down and it should "release" and go back to clicking when pushed. Re-assemble. Took about 5 minutes to fix.
