Broken Hub

The plastic piece is kind of just a spacer - you could probably Crazy Glue it back in place (just a drop - even less). This might work if the contacts in that port are not messed up.But you can get a new one for just a few bucks. See/get one here:https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_sop=15&_armrs=1&_dmd=1&LH_BIN=1&_ipg=100&_from=R40&_sacat=0&USB%2520Specification=USB%25202%252E0&_nkw=usb%202.0%20HUB&rt=nc&LH_PrefLoc=1&_trksid=p2045573.m1684Or here:https://www.google.com/search?client=firefox-b-1&ei=YaFgWoeYGoiksAWl1J2QBg&q=usb+2.0+HUB&oq=usb+2.0+HUB&gs_l=psy-ab.12..0l10.1395089.1395089.0.1396689.1.1.0.0.0.0.217.217.2-1.1.0....0...1c.2.64.psy-ab..0.1.216....0.zcpQSn0m82oI would recommend that you buy a self-powered (one that you plug in to a wall outlet) USB hub, because sometimes USB ports on a computer do not have enough power themselves to power a non-powered hub.Good luck.

I have had this router

Unplug the router. Plug your computer network cable (if you can and have it) directly into the modem, bypassing the router. If directly connected modem gives no Internet connection - call your ISP tech support. If the Internet connection is provided by the modem directly - shut down the router for at least one minute, while shut off, plug the cables from modem back into it, restart router, give it some time to launch services (appr.2-4 min), then check Internet connection on the devices. If still no joy - 1. Connect your computer to the router (LAN port) using an Ethernet cable. Make sure your IP address on the computer is 192.168.0.### (where ### is between 2 and 254). Please see the Networking Basics section for more information. If you need to change the settings, write down your existing settings before making any changes. In most cases, your computer should be set to receive an IP address automatically in which case you will not have to do anything to your computer. 2. Open a web browser and enter http://192.168.0.1 and press Enter. When the login window appears, login using your router authentication credentials (see it on the back, if you never changed it). Check internet, LAN and wireless settings (on/off? Firmware updates?). Check: http://www.dlink.com/-/media/Consumer_Products/GO/GO%20RT%20N150/Manual/DEU_Manual_RevB.pdf

I have d link dir628 the lights on the front flash when all computers are off. what does the light indicate?

The lights indicate power, Internet connectivity and activity. Have you changed the default settings? Assuming you're using wireless, is it possible you have a freeloader in your vicinity? I would change the wifi password (key) (and name) to see if that helps. When all your devices are off, you can check active devices to see if any device is active. Also, make sure you change the admin password if you haven't.
