1-adjust the overall volume by pressing fn+f 5 hotkeys
2-adjust sliding mixer controls by doubleclicking the speaker icon
3-disconnect the headphone jack to enable check of internel speaker.4-confirm that microphone plug is proper connected to mono mic jack.5-confirm that microphone is selected as recording source in control panel----multimedia and recording level is adjusted.

confirm that headphone connector connected in right postion

Look in your hardware / device manager. Can you see the missing device there ? Report back & we'll take it from there 18.January.2016

It's more than likely your audio device driver. You may need to install or update the driver before the audio will output sound, or a speaker icon can be added to your systray.
Tell us in more detail about your computer system and we may be able to point you to the driver for download.

no --- you are measuring voltage or potential to measure amps---current flow you have to put an amp meter in the circuit. Some multi meters you can set to amps and by placing the + lead on the power supply and run the current though the meter to what ever you are powering will give a reading Remember not to exceed the capacity of the meter or it will burn up in your hand.
