How to configure cnet cgs-800
Hi, according to its manual, this is only an L2 switch, so no configuration is needed, if you want to use VLAN in example, you have to install an L3 switch.
Cant' access http://192.168.1.254/
ping it first. got to start menu, run, type cmd, press enter, and type, ping 192.168.1.254. you should get a reply after you did that. if not, connect to the access point first and go to wireless connection status, click properties, scroll down and look for the internet protocol (TCP/IP) and highlight it and click properties, mark the use the following ip address and type 192.168.0.1~100. this means choose a number from 1 to 100 onthe last slot. after that press tab on your keyboard and you will see that it will automatically generate the default subnet mask. press ok and close the application. got to start menu, run type cmd press enter and type ping 192.168.1.254. if it does not work, i do not know what else you can do. just remember, if it work or not, be sure to put the setting of your wireless network connection status and mark obtain IP address automatically. press ok and close application.

How do i get up 300mbs speed with my wnir3300 router
Your router can do 300mbs Like a car can go 150 miles / h. Your car almost never goes that fast. You router neither. The other side, the line to your provider is even more important. They sell up to ??? mb/s, but you never get that speed. Only in the best circumstances someone could come close, but as soon as more users are on line or in the same segment, the speed will drop.
I think if you use a 1 Gb/s ethernet cable, from the router to your computer you won't add much to the speed.
Even if you have more WiFi hotspots close to you, they can bring your speed down a little. So plenty reasons, why you can try to speed up your connection, but none will really work. At least not as drastic you could reach twice the speed you now have.
Sorry
