If you run the power amp at a very low setting it makes the amp subject to noise and distortion. You want around a 60% setting.
Speakers also need to have proper loading, that is in a cabinet or enclosure that is kind of matched to them. If the amp is rated at a true 400 Watts RMS then the speakers should be at least 800 Watts as they "cheat" on those SPEAKER ratings and MANY A SPEAKER IS BLOWN AS A RESULT.
ok well do u have a amp hooked up on the speaker and if not u could have dust in there or it could be a blown voice coil in the woofer part it self best way to check is to take a cotton swab u use in ur ear andgo along the coil part the speaker u no the brownish looks like ornge wires sum thing like that and do it very gently swab around the coil let me no if that helps
I found that they can hold up to 6 1/2" speakers and 2" tweeters. I'm not sure the specific mounting depth but i can almost assure you there wont be any 6 1/2" speakers that require a whole lotta space
First thing to do is check to make sure that the batteries are properly charged.
Second, make sure that you have a clear line-of-site to the IR transmitter. Infrared (IR) works the same way that your TVs remote control works - if the signal is blocked, then you will not hear any sound.
Third, make sure that you are in the rear seat of the vehicle when listening to the sound. The IR transmitter only transmits to the rear seat, so you will not hear any sound if you are sitting in the front seats. This is a common problem that i see.
Lastly, make sure that the heapdhones you purchased are compatible with your 2006 2007 2008 2009 or 2010 Toyota Sienna. Remember that some older models require RF headphones, not IR headphones. I checked http://www.audiovideo2go.com for compatibility before I purchased my headphones. They have a useful listing of all the headphones and models of vehicles they are compatible with.
Unfortunately, no one knows or is telling. Companies rarely state power in RMS because Peak Power is a much more impressive. 1000 watt amp, 200 watts RMS x 2 channels at 8 ohms. Look for a sticker on the unit.
