Televison & Video - Answered Questions & Fixed Issues

Hello Maureen Whichello,
I am getting the GENERAL impression
that this might be a UK item...
Here in the USA when I want "remotes" (et al)
I look on eBay...

I'm just saying...
Watch the Seller FEEDBACK and the SHIPPING
COSTS...!!

(( or you could use vinegar & baking soda to clean the battery CONTACTS of your old remote )).

Clean with isopropyl alcohol and allow to
FULLY DRY over several days.. before replacing
BATTERY.

GRAPHITE pencil lead can be used to further
burnish the contact surfaces... but
without ANTI-OXODENT compound... your
RENEWAL process will likely not last long.
Do search for a REPUTABLE seller to
supply your REPLACEMENT (and closely watch
over all your BATTERIES in the future)...!!

Have you tried using an optical laser disc cleaner? If you are 100% sure the laser is burnt out then you will need a replacement laser. I found a unit on ebay but I am not 100% sure it is the direct replacement part for the Nakamichi DVD10S. Please check that is correct (this listing is only a guide but you may be able to use it to source a similar unit cheaper or the right part etc as it appears to be currently out of stock from this vendor) - NEW OPTICAL LASER LENS PICKUP for Nakamichi DVD 10 DVD Player eBay

Compare the manufacturing dates and if remote is older, it is normal. If not, ask Samsung. Good chance

Ted, You have to push the issue with Samsung, contact them and ask for a resolution specialist. If it was indeed still under warranty when you contacted them make them fix it, as it could get expensive. Check the attached links, Samsung support instruction and guides, Good luck

The model you listed is for a Ge Electric Range. If the control panel is dead, there is no fuse or anything between the incoming voltage and the display panel, you can try and reset the panel by killing power to it at the breaker, but if it fails to come back on after that the control has failed and will need to be replaced. The replacement board for that model can be ordered from the link below.

I will test the back lights first.

To test the back lights, you need to disconnect the cable between the main power supply & the main board, apply the AC power to the power supply, if the back lights are not light up, the back light are defective.

You can usually get the manual in the form of a pdf file, by going online to the manufacturer’s website, under support.

You may have a defective T-CON, or LCD panel.

To test the panel, you need to disconnect the two flax cables between the T-CON board & the panel buffer board one at the time to see that when one of the cable is disconnected, the screen shows a picture or not
