You have probably turned on a special function for that button. In the program reading section, you'll see a way to print the program for departments (or PLUs if you have it set to use PLUs instead). Once you've printed them, check the dept or PLU that's bad and see how it differs from the other ones. Then go into dept/ PLU programming and set it the same as a working one. I don't have info for this model so I can't walk you through it. If you don't have the programming manual, this site has it and they give help with all of their manuals so they can show you how to use the program codes https://the-checkout-tech.com/manuals/cashregisters/Casio_PCR-T2000_users_and_programming_manual.html

The TE-2400 uses programming sequences from the manual if you want to set it yourself. You can turn each tax on or off in the departments or set the rates with codes. This site has the special dealer manual and they can show you how to use it if you have trouble with the codes https://the-checkout-tech.com/manuals/cashregisters/Casio_TE-2200_and_TE-2400_dealers_manual.html
Hope it helps

If you have set a cash limit, you'll need to increase or remove it to make large payments. Pay by another method e.g credit so that you can finish the sale. Now you need to edit the limit. I haven't done it on this model so I can't remember the codes. The codes are in this manual https://the-checkout-tech.com/manuals/cashregisters/Sharp_ER-A410_and_ER-A420_programming_manual.html

Depending on whether you are selling services or products, you may keep in mind keeping your business name by way of registering for a Trademark or Servicemark. A trademark, issued by US Patent and Trademark Office, lasts for 10 years and can be renewed.

Make sure the batteries are not flat. It usually indicates a lack of battery power and it is losing the programming because of it
