Try changing the batteries in the remote.

It could be the battery or it could be a bad cable. Do you have access to another cable to see if that works?

Alternatively, if it is the battery, you may want to do a google search with your model number and the word battery in the search bar to find a replacement.

i have the same receiver and i also have the same problem,
this happens when i turn the volume or the bass too loud.

it suddenly clicks and the sound cuts off. then the flashing red P appears.

My solution: As soon as it happens, quickly press the power button twice (turn off, turn back on)
and turn the volume knob all the way down. wait 2-3 seconds and it will click back to normal.

If you take too long before turning off the receiver when the P appears it will not work.
In this case you have to unplug the power cord and let it rest for at least 20 mins then plug it back in.

hope this helps!
ps: I've been using this receiver for mure than 8 years so i'm quite used to it!

What brand is the remote? What brands and models of components are you trying to operate? You may be able to purchase a manual on the above website. I couldn't find any specific information on this remote.

In my experience, you have to open up the laptop and see if the stereo jack can be seen openly or if it is enclosed in a solid plastic block.
If it is open, you can usually bend the leads back into place where the negative will get in better contact and make the connection to the headphone.
It it is enclosed, you'll have to remove and replace it with a little soldering of a few small connections to the motherboard. You can find a replacement online pretty inexpensively in most cases.
This is a simple repair n both cases but getting the laptop open is what takes the most time.

Another solution is to get some bluetooth speakers or bluetooth headphones and add a USB bluetooth adapter if it doesn't have bluetooth.
Another way is to open up the laptop, take out your wireless card and replace it with a combo wifi/bluetooth card. You can get these often for under $15 and you'll need to buy the antenna too (Black is wifi white is BT) for few bucks. Make sure you get the same type of card (mini PCIe, M.2, etc) and the side benefit is that you might get a faster wifi at the same time.

Some tuners denote volume as attenuation so zero means it is at full volume and -20 means it is 20 decibels or 20 percent etc below zero. Essentially, zero means it is not being held back while the higher the number, the higher amount of holding back.

I am not sure what you mean by the volume does not increase or decrease normally so you'll have to ask that one with more details and information to get something more on that issue.

There is a site listed below which has links to the service manual.I would look at the capacitors to see if any are blown and need to be replaced. If you have some that are indeed blown, then it can't get the energy it needs on demand and will heat up. Caps are easy to replace and you can tell they are bad if they are swollen, bulging on the top, or leaking. Cheap and easy fix and I presume you meant Denon in the text, lol.

Somehow it has become "unpaired" with all former sources of audio signal. You need to reprogram it if you can. I can't tell you how to do that. Sorry.

My experience with CD/DVD players has been, unfortunately, that when the trays stop opening and/or closing, or when error messages start regularly, it's history. Hope yours turns out differently, but I wouldn't count on it. It will cost you as much or more to fix it than to replace it. if you live near a large junkyard you might try to retrieve one there, but the fact that your car is 13 yrs. old will make that tougher.
