Check wire harness where it comes into the cab on the left and crosses over to the right under the seat area to see if mice have chewed on it . repair as needed in that area.

make sure that the coil has the right voltage
it can be straight 12 volts or a combination of 12 volts ( starting and 7.5 volts running
the connection should be under a nut terminal of the coil just remove that and fit to the new coil
