Electrically the tv will be fine as the UK uses the same voltage.

Whether it will receive and process the signal in Jamaica is another matter. The best way of finding out is to connect it to the electricity supply and an aerial and select the main menu and then select factory reset or installation and wait while it seeks available tv stations.

By making your resume public on monster.com, that means it is readily viewed by any "Employer" user who does resume searches in an effort to identify candidates for a position. Keep in mind that this means the person looking for your resume still has to sign in to the monster.com system, and your resume is not instantly viewable to everybody on the whole wide Internet.

For an "Employer" user to specifically search for YOUR resume, they must first log in to monster.com. Following that, this is what the monster.com "Help" segment says:

To find a Resume by its number:
  1. Go to the Resume Search page.
  2. Change Search By Date to From Today to All Resumes.
  3. Enter the Resume Number in the Keyword Search field.
  4. Click Search and the system will locate and display the Resume.
To find a Resume by a Job Seeker's name:
  1. Change Search By Date to From Today to All Resumes.
  2. Enter the Job Seeker's name in the Keyword Search field.
  3. Click Search and the system will locate and display the Resume.
If you are NOT expecting a person to seek YOUR resume specifically, but are simply looking to increase the odds of having your resume viewed for the position you seek, double-check your resume to make sure you included many of the keywords relevant to your desired position (but only if they're *true*!). For example: if you wanted a position in web design, you would include keywords such as XHTML, CSS, JavaScript, etc... If you wanted an Office Assistant position, keywords might include MS Outlook, Lotus Notes, Simply Accounting. "Employer" users typically search for resumes based on keywords relevant to the skills / requirements relevant to the job.

Also, make sure to update your monster.com resume each time there is something new and relevant to add to your resume.

An 11 year old PC still running, wow.
the first line above i can not understand
did you mean it shut it self off, not you? be clear on that , as that is hardware problem.

NO OS stated, we can not guess them, on 11 year old PC
windows is safe guess, but what version, so many made.
if you turn off any computers, with files open
even simple , notepad or wordpad
the system drops power with files open
and the data in the file is now corrupted or simply truncated.
the repair you did is a luck thing , NO GUARANTEES !

windows, does try to close them but is not always successful
in fact if it cant close them it does this long delay, and then forces them closed, or if it can't, it corrupts the file (or files). XP OS is the worst here.
also keep backups of files say on a USB thumb drive.
after all any HDD can fail 5 years old or 10 for enterprise grade HDD, laptops are toy grade.

so all savvy folks know this and keep files backed up that are important.
data processing 101 stuff there.

Never trust any PC to hold important data ever internally.
it will loose it all, if you are passive.

Just a matter of time,or if you drop that notebook the hdd can be damaged easy if it's running, or hit hard.
HDD = hard disk drive.

or if all that seems hard to do?, get windows 10, and get the pc sync'd to the MS cloud and trust in MS to do all that magic for you.

here are the rules on files.
save the file,
then save it to Thumb drive.
then close word.
then shut off all other programs running seen on task bar or on desktops screens,
then push start , then shut down
bingo files not damaged.

I think it is time to by a new Chromebook,
Get a PC that is newer, for sure W10 and with the cloud working, so you dont lose files.
or learn the age old practice of how to backup data.
backup to Cloud. or any remote server endless ....
back to usb thumb drive
back up to external HDD. or SSD
backup to DVD-R burn a disk.

high-level programming language developed by Sun Microsystems. Java was originally called OAK, and was designed for handheld devices and set-top boxes. Oak was unsuccessful so in 1995 Sun changed the name to Java and modified the language to take advantage of the burgeoning World Wide Web. Java is an object-oriented language similar to C++, but simplified to eliminate language features that cause common programming errors. Java source code files (files with a .java extension) are compiled into a format called bytecode (files with a .class extension), which can then be executed by a Java interpreter. Compiled Java code can run on most computers because Java interpreters and runtime environments, known as Java Virtual Machines (VMs), exist for most operating systems, including UNIX, the Macintosh OS, and Windows. Bytecode can also be converted directly into machine language instructions by a just-in-time compiler (JIT). Java is a general purpose programming language with a number of features that make the language well suited for use on the World Wide Web. Small Java applications are called Java applets and can be downloaded from a Web server and run on your computer by a Java-compatible Web browser, such as Netscape Navigator or Microsoft Internet Explorer.
