Won't heat up but panel keeps flashing
Element-ary, dear Naomi.
Either the element (embedded into the soleplate) is burnt out, or the thermoswitch is faulty.
The thermoswitch is the temperature-adjustable thermostat under the temp-dial knob.
Ask a friendly electrician to check it for you.
It's not likely that your local electrical stockist will have an exact match, as they'd have to keep a warehouse full of spares for different makes/models.
In short, if something's blown, chuck the iron.

My breville toaster model BTA840XL won't drop the bread in for toasting
If your power-socket is off, it won't. (I've done it several times, foolishly cursing the toaster). :rolleyes:Otherwise unplug from wall, remove covers, check by pressing base down with a pen etc. On most auto-eject toasters, a powerful electromagnetic solenoid (electric magnet) holds the base (slice carriage) down while cool and warming up. When preset temperature is reached, solenoid is de-energized, releasing its magnetic hold on the base, allowing springs to pop bread up.If you (or friend) has a tester and expertise, check solenoid (small coil) for resistance. If OK, (not open circuit), problem is in control circuitry.
Breville hot cup
Breville Hot Cup spitting:
Hi Louise.
My HAZ upright kettle did the same thing recently.
Sounds like your element-tube has a rust-hole, which allowed water to enter the normally dry and cozy filament area. The water that seeps inside hits the red-hot filament, vaporises to steam which violently expands out of the pinhole.
Remove element, check for corrosion, renew.
Hope this helps. Clive.
I got breville but the steamer is not working what can I do
It is probably clogged with hard water deposits. You can use white vinager or something like CLR pour into the iron an let it set for awhile an allow it to eat away the deposits. Don't turn on iron until it's finished an cleaned with fresh water.
My dear wife took the lid handle off our breville
This is for assembling the Breville Wok lid. This has a built in vent that lets steam escape during cooking. There are 8 pieces not including the glass cover: bolt, metal vent, black O ring, tan round plastic piece, black lid piece (has open/close) on it, spring, clear plastic seal, lid handle.Order of assembly as follows, starting on inside of glass cover.1. Bolt.2. Metal vent piece sits on top of bolt.3. Black O ring fits snuggly onto of vent piece.Insert what you have assembled against inside of glass cover, bolt poking through topside of glass.4. Add tan plastic piece with 3 prongs going facedown against the glass hole of cover.5. Larger black lid piece goes next. You will need to line up the openings on tan piece and this lid piece so that it sits semi-flush against glass. When complete this piece will turn in place to open/close vent (less than 1/4 turn before stopping).6. Add clear plastic seal to underside of handle.7. Place spring between handle and top of black lid piece and screw together until snug.Test lid by turning lid piece. It should move back and forth according to the open/close print on top. If no luck, go to step 5 and try again. It is a little tricky, but does work when done correctly.
