Get yourself a digital multimeter. Find the +12V constant, 12V remote, and ground. Connect them to the new head unit. For speaker wire get yourself a 9V toy battery and listen to poping noise. Most likely you fried the radio while jumping the car. Time for replacement.

Did you try calling an audi dealership? Usually they can get the code for you if you can provide them with either the vin number of the car or the serial number of the radio.
